Frequently Asked Questions.
The Ascent is designed for young men aged 18 to 21 who are serious about personal growth, leadership, purpose, and becoming the best version of themselves. Whether you’re stepping into adulthood, trying to find clarity in your direction, or seeking meaningful guidance, The Ascent is a place for real transformation.
The Ascent is built on universal values such as purpose, discipline, respect, and integrity. While our founder’s personal worldview is rooted in Christian principles, the program is open to all — regardless of belief — and does not require religious participation. Our focus is on developing strong, grounded men; aligned to their divine design.
Although participants are legally adults, we encourage parental awareness and support to create a united front around each young man’s development. This isn’t about control — it’s about involving key voices in their life, and keeping communication transparent, especially for those still living at home.
No. The Ascent is not therapy, and our mentors are not clinical professionals. It’s a mentorship and development program, focused on equipping young men with mindset tools, habits, vision, and life direction. If mental health needs arise, we encourage participants to seek support from qualified services.
All mentors are carefully selected, trained, and guided by the program director. While background checks (DBS) are in process, all mentors operate under a strict code of conduct, and all interactions are conducted transparently, respectfully, and accountably.
Absolutely. The Ascent is made for young men like you — those who may feel uncertain, stuck, or just not fully sure of themselves yet. You don’t need to have it all together — you just need to be willing to grow.
Each participant is matched based on their goals, interests, and needs. We believe mentoring is a relationship — not just advice — so we work to ensure that each pairing is intentional and aligned for growth.
We understand life happens. If someone needs to leave, we ask for a conversation first, so we can understand and support that decision. However, we encourage all applicants to join only if they’re willing to commit to the full journey, not just parts of it.
At this stage, The Ascent is being offered free, but by application only, to ensure that only committed participants take part. We believe in investing in growth — and we want to remove any financial barrier.
Over 3 months, participants will:
-
Attend bi-monthly mentorship sessions
-
Be committed to a personal mentor
-
Complete guided tasks around purpose, discipline, identity, and leadership
-
Participate in open dialogue, community-building, and reflection
The journey is both practical and personal — with real accountability and a clear growth path.
